State Animal Response Team

Our dedicated team is always looking for ways to be active in our community! Did you know 10 of our team members were trained as SART members?

If a disaster ever occurs in NJ, 10 Absecon Veterinary Hospital Staff have been trained by the NJ Department of Agriculture/Animal Division as Animal First Responders. Our staff is trained to provide disaster relief care for dogs, cats, and exotics in addition to Absecon Veterinary Hospital agreeing to provide emergency services to those animals in need.

About SART:
State Animal & Agriculture Response Teams are inter-agency state organizations dedicated to preparing, planning, responding and recovering during animal and agricultural emergencies and disasters in the United States.

NJ SART is a public-private partnership, joining government agencies with the private sector around the common goal of animal and agricultural issues during disasters. NJ SART facilitates communication and resource sharing across agencies and organizations throughout the state during disasters to support local and state level response efforts.
