Growing up in New Jersey her whole life, Dr. Courtney Zinna decided at the very young age of three that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She went on to pursue her dream by attending Rutgers University for her undergraduate studies, where she majored in Animal Science. During her time in undergrad, Dr. Zinna helped conduct research on the human-animal bond and completed a wildlife internship at Conserve Wildlife Foundation. Dr. Zinna later went on to earn her veterinarian degree (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and furthered her career in wildlife medicine by becoming certified in wildlife rehabilitation.

After graduation, Dr. Zinna began her veterinary career at Banfield Pet Hospital in Manahawkin, NJ, treating mostly small animals. Soon thereafter, Dr. Zinna started working at Brick Town Vet Hospital, where she was able to gain experience treating exotic species and managing difficult cases. Dr. Zinna’s favorite thing about being a veterinarian is, “the everlasting bond she forms with her patients and clients.”

Dr. Zinna has special interests in Internal Medicine, Preventive Medicine, and Exotics. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and enjoys spending her free time with her family and friends, as well as her loving boyfriend and island rescue dog, Quinn.
