Dental radiography is one of the most important diagnostic tools available. It allows us to visualize the internal anatomy of the teeth, tooth roots, and the bone that surrounds the roots.

Dental x-rays assist in the diagnosis of many hidden conditions that may otherwise go undiagnosed including: fractured or broken roots, cysts, tooth decay, early tumors, or abscessed teeth.

Periodontal disease can be staged and addressed by examining the dental x-rays for bone loss around tooth roots. ​Thorough dental evaluation and x-rays are done on anesthetized animals.
